Let me just start off by saying that Vince Vaughn is a comic genius! The Break-Up is a very entertaining film that dares to go against the typical romantic comedy mold that we have fallen so accustomed to over the years, which makes it in my opinion a breath of fresh air! Vince Vaughn (Gary) and Jennifer Aniston (Brooke) play a Chicago based couple that break up but keep living together because neither one of them wants to give up their gorgeous condo that they put there blood, sweat and tears into, not to mention their money. There are many heated arguments in this film that are so well scripted and acted they are almost uncomfortable to watch on screen. There were some points I wondered if parts of the dialogue was actually ad-libbed because it was just so raw and full of emotion. There are also some outrageously funny moments that just had me laughing until I was crying, most of which were brought to us by Vaughn he has impeccable comedic timing and a way of delivering a line that just leaves you wanting more and more of him. Aniston was both witty and charming and both actors have amazing chemistry together! I would recommend this film to anyone who just wants to have a good time in movie and a first class laugh! This film is offered in MoPix but I would probably skip it since almost all of the film is dialogue, the narrative might get in the way and you could miss some key moments or some of the jokes! ENJOY! I know I did!
